Admission opens at 7:00 p.m. The best places are filled quickly! You can also enjoy a cold beer or a good wine on site, both of which you can purchase on site. We rely on income from beverage sales. The event begins around 9:15 p.m. as darkness falls.

Admission to all performances in the Arkadenhof is free. No seats can be reserved for these events. The festival relies on your donations to maintain its range of events. The recommended donation per evening is 8 to 12 euros. This year, entry to the events in the Brotfabrik Bonn-Beuel on Sunday, August 16th is subject to a donation. On Saturday, August 22nd, entry to the event in the LVR State Museum costs 5 euros; you can attend the second event for a donation.

Bags will be checked upon entry so that we can ensure the safety of all visitors. Sharp objects and all kinds of weapons are removed, as are beverage bottles. You cannot set up your own chairs or other seating options in the yard, but you are welcome to bring a seat cushion for the existing chairs. Seat cushions can also be purchased at our info point. Otherwise, everything can be taken with you!

The majority of films with live music recordings are available to stream online after the screening. The films in the program are online for 48 hours each. The university's arcade courtyard is completely paved with cobblestones. However, there is cobblestone-free access to the Arkadenhof through the main entrance from the city center (Ehrenhalle). This entrance is reserved for people with disabilities and special needs and their accompanying persons. We would like to thank the SWB for their support in the area of ​​accessibility! This year she is providing additional chairs for overweight people at the festival. If you are interested, please contact our awareness team by email, telephone or on site.

We have been faced with two problems for years:

• Reserved seats: We know you want to sit next to your family or friends and have a nice evening. As long as the courtyard is not full, you can reserve seats for accompanying persons. But if the courtyard starts to get full and we have to make an entry stop, there is no right to any accompanying persons being allowed in. This means that if the doors are closed and/or we stop entry, the reserved seats will expire. The people at the front of the queue for entry have priority. For this reason, even after leaving the building, there is no guarantee that you will be allowed back in if the courtyard has filled up in the meantime.

• Backpacks and bags do not need their own chair. Sure, it's more comfortable if you don't have someone sitting right next to you. However, the Silent Film Festival is a festival for everyone and we want to guarantee that as many people as possible have the chance to see the films. We have a total of 1000 chairs and we would like to accommodate 1000 visitors in the arcade courtyard. Who knows, maybe a new friendship will develop if you talk to your seat neighbor?
