Vasja is an avid reader and constant daydreamer. Inspired by novels such as Robinson Crusoe, he fantasises about living out the wildest adventures. When Vasja one day sets off on a genuine adventure, he is forced to face the sobering fact that the real world doesn’t quite live up to his expectations. This enchanting children’s film is marked by its skilful direction and sophisticated camerawork, as well as its talented cast of child actors. In 2025, the German Federal Archives restored SAM SOBI ROBINZON as part of a larger project to preserve rare films in its collection with a Ukrainian connection.
