Gunda Gottschalk ist als Musikerin in der zeitgenössischen und improvisierten Musik international gefragt. Sie verbindet ihre Arbeit mit Tanz, Theater, Film, Komposition, Bildender Kunst und Literatur. In den 1990er-Jahren arbeitete sie intensiv mit Peter Kowald zusammen, unter anderem bei dessen Projekt 365 Tage vor ORT und in der Formation Global Village. Als Solistin und mit verschiedenen Ensembles konzertierte sie in Europa, den USA, Kanada, Russland, China, Myanmar, Kamerun und der Mongolei. Sie ist Initiatorin zahlreicher interdisziplinärer Großprojekte, darunter sounds of shanghai (2013), das Musiktheater Die 10 Gebote des Clowns (2018), zwei partizipative Opern mit 140 Jugendlichen (2017/2020) sowie das inszenierte Konzert Post Babel (2021).
Gunda Gottschalk is internationally sought-after as a musician in contemporary and improvised music. She combines her work with dance, theater, film, composition, visual arts, and literature. In the 1990s, she worked intensively with Peter Kowald, including on his project 365 Tage vor ORT and in the formation Global Village. As a soloist and with various ensembles, she has performed in Europe, the USA, Canada, Russia, China, Myanmar, Cameroon, and Mongolia. She is the initiator of numerous large-scale interdisciplinary projects, including Sounds of Shanghai (2013), the musical theater piece The Clown's 10 Commandments (2018), two participatory operas with 140 young people (2017/2020), and the staged concert Post Babel (2021).
