Bill Morrison is a director and media artist whose work has premiered at film festivals in New York, Rotterdam, Sundance, and Venice, and has been shown at institutions such as BAM, Barbican, Carnegie, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. His found footage films feature rare archival materials, often showing signs of decomposition, long forgotten, and which Morrison reinterprets as part of a collective mythology in combination with often hypnotic music. His best known works are DECASIA (2002) and DAWSON CITY: FROZEN TIME (2017).
